In the field of organic chemistry, development of novel methodologies have been considered as one of the most fundamental and important areas. Especially, synthetic methodologies towards natural compounds and their derivatives with the privileged structures have been central focus in the field of organic as well as medicinal chemistry. The KIM lab has focused on the development of novel and concise synthetic methodologies, based on Pd(II) catalysis, aiming to the construction of privileged chemical library for biomedical science. In order to successfully achieve the goal, we are trying to find optimal conditions which enables tandem reactions involving C-H activation, oxidative Heck coupling and oxidation process under O2 condition.
